A direct excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest volcano at 3,350 metres, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013.

Departure by coach with a tour leader, arriving at the Etna station at 1,900 metres.

Stop and free time available for a gentle hike at your own pace, visiting the most recent lava flows and the now-extinct Silvestri craters.

Optional ascent by cable car to 2,500 metres, followed by a journey in powerful off-road vehicles (4×4 buses) to the highest permitted altitude, accompanied by authorised mountain guides from the CAI (Italian Alpine Club).

Stop to admire the activity of the summit craters from a safe area.

Warm clothing and suitable footwear are recommended. The tour will continue with a journey through the flavours and typical local produce, followed by a visit to the Alcantara Gorges, one of the most important natural sites in Sicily.
