Direct excursion to the Etna volcano, the highest in Europe with its 3,350 meters, as well as a UNESCO site since 2013. Departure by bus with guide and arrival at the Etna station at 1,900 meters. Stop and free time available to do soft trekking independently, visiting the most recent lava flows and the now extinct Silvestri craters. Optional ascent by cable car up to 2,500 meters and continuation aboard powerful off-road vehicles (4×4 buses) to the summit crater area at about 3,000 meters with the assistance of authorized CAI (Italian Alpine Club) mountain guides. Stop to admire the activity of the summit craters in the safety zone. Warm clothing and suitable shoes are recommended. The tour will continue for a journey into the flavors and typical products of the area and for a visit to the Gole Dell’Alcantara, one of the most important natural sites in Sicily. Optional in addition to the entrance to the botanical park, descent to the river by lift and tasting of typical products.
Etna 3000 Transfer by bus to Rifugio Sapienza at an altitude of 1900 meters from there customers will continue by accessing the cable car to reach an altitude of 2500, then aboard a 4X4 bus to reach an altitude of 3000 meters, they will continue for a soft trekking accompanied by an authorized CAI mountain guide ( Italian Alpine club) lasting about 30/40 minutes. Total duration 2 hours and 30 minutes.
